Man Undergoes Emergency Surgery After 3-Week Erection

A 55-year-old Indian man was forced to undergo emergency surgery after a 21-day erection nearly killed him.

Doctor Avishek Mukherjee, a doctor at a hospital in Kolkata, India, tells the Sun: "It was very late when the man sought treatment. The treatment has to be sought within six hours, otherwise it could even lead to death, besides the degeneration of the penis."

"We drained the blood and relieved him," Dr Mukherjee said.

Because of the condition and/or surgery, the man is now impotent.
