Funkmaster Flex Arrested for Assaulting Wife

Legendary (and we mean "legendary") DJ Funkmaster Flex, who drops bombs all over his nightly radio show on Shot Hot 97 in NYC, was arrested on domestic violence charges this morning at his Greenburgh (a well-to-do suburb in Westchester, NY) home after he disciplined his wife of 10 years, Monica Taylor (pictured).
Aston G. Taylor, known as "Funkmaster Flex," was picked up in his 2011 Chevrolet Camaro after his wife accused him of pushing her and sending threatening text messages. Police were called to Taylor's home at 5:10 a.m., where a 40-year-old woman said he'd pushed her to the floor in their bedroom. When she tried calling police, she said, Taylor smacked the phone out of her hand and stomped on it. Taylor, 43, is charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanors, and second-degree harassment, a violation. He posted $500 at his arraignment in Town Court and is due back in court on Feb. 18.

Sidebar: Back in September 2003, Funk Flex was arrested after he punched and choked Stephanie Saunders aka Steph Lova, who worked a DJ at a rival radio station. Reportedly, the beatdown came after Steph alleged on-air that Flex accepted bribes to play certain songs. Well, he was pissed and confronted Steph in front of the station. Flex pled guilty to "harassing" and was ordered serve 35 hours of community service and to stay away from Steph.

Here's his mug shot.
