A Tampa man is under arrest after police say he tried to kill his pregnant girlfriend by bashing his car into a car she was sitting in. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Matthew Jake Wildeman attacked his girlfriend at a home in New Port Richey. Detectives say Wildeman began to punch and kick her after arriving at the home at 11:47 Sunday night. PCSO says she got inside her car in an attempt to escape the attack. That's when they say Wildeman broke the passenger and driver side mirrors before getting into his car and repeatedly bashing her car. Wildeman left the scene and was arrested after returning. He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder. These new charges violated Wildeman's probation out of Hillsborough County and he remains in the Land O' Lakes Detention Center without bond.
